Purpose of the position

As a Functional Analyst, you will be the crucial link between customer needs and project execution. Your role is pivotal in seamlessly translating customer requirements into actionable functional specifications, fostering effective collaboration among stakeholders. By meticulously capturing and discussing customer requirements, integrating project constraints, and supporting development activities, you facilitate the successful delivery of projects. Your proactive approach to managing evolving requirements and your responsiveness during development are indispensable for project success.

Furthermore, you provide invaluable insights to pre-sales efforts and conduct risk analysis and mitigation strategies, thereby contributing to the overall project strategy and success. Your role is instrumental in aligning with customer expectations, enhancing understanding, and ultimately delivering solutions that not only meet but surpass customer needs. Tasks and responsibilities

As a Functional Analyst, your role is to bridge the gap between customer needs and project execution, ensuring seamless translation of requirements and effective collaboration among stakeholders. You'll precisely capture and discuss customer requirements, integrate project constraints, and support development activities. Your responsiveness to inquiries during development and your proactive approach to managing evolving requirements are critical. Additionally, you'll provide input to pre-sales efforts and conduct risk analysis and mitigation strategies.

• Explore Customer Needs: Thoroughly investigate and understand customer requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements.
• Collaborate with teams: Discuss system requirements with architects and development teams, ensuring alignment and understanding.
• Artifact review: Plan and execute regular reviews of delivered artifacts to ensure they meet defined requirements and standards.
• KPIs and SLAs: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure project success and performance.
• Development meetings: Actively participate in development meetings to enhance team understanding of customer needs and requirements.
• Customers: Conduct regular alignment meetings with customers to ensure their requirements remain consistent and up to date.
• Advisory Support: Offer advisory support to the business in pre-sales activities, providing insights based on your analysis.
• UX aspects: If applicable, incorporate UX aspects into functional analysis, ensuring a user-centric approach to requirements.
• Documentation: Keep comprehensive documentation of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity and traceability.

Background and experience

• Experience in maintaining a customer-focused and commercial mindset throughout projects.
• Proven track record of understanding and navigating the intricacies of the software development process.
• Experience in creating and interpreting modelling diagrams, including UML and BPML, to facilitate project understanding.
• Analytical experience, with a history of effectively dissecting complex problems and proposing actionable solutions.
• Experience in technology, showcasing a deep curiosity and understanding of how it works.
